Even the 911 has already been released, Porsche still had more news and more updates for the new roadster. Porsche recently announced two new variations of the 2020 911 – the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupé and the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. That’s right, the 2020 Porsche 911 line is expanding with all-wheel drive coupé and cabriolet models, and the full lineup is in stock now at Town Porsche. The New Porsche 911 Performance Highlights
With the addition of the Carrera 4 Coupé and the Carrera 4 Cabriolet, the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera is now available in 8 different model variations. The new Carrera 4 and Carrera 4 Cabriolet come with a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that makes 379 horsepower and an 8-speed transmission like the other 911 Carrera models. Depending on the model and if you have the optional Sport Chrono Package, the 2020 911 can do 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 to 4.4 seconds with a maximum top track speed of around 190 mph. The highest performing 2020 911 model, the 911 Carrera 4S, comes with 443 horsepower if you wanted to take performance to the next level. Regardless of what 911 model you drive, they all are high performance machines worthy of the 911 namesake.
The entire 2020 911 Carrera lineup comes with a new water-cooled front differential and clutch. This improved axle design paired with Porsche Traction Management helps with durability and also improves overall traction in all road conditions. The new 911 Carrera also comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management that features two selectable drive modes. This electronic dampening systems gives the driver control of the ride quality and handling depending on the road conditions and driver’s drive style.
Interior and Exterior Design Features
At first glance, the Carrera 4 Coupé and Carrera 4 Cabriolet are the same on the exterior and interior as the rest of the new 911 lineup. The entire lineup has the same exterior design cues that stay true to the iconic 911 styling, like defined fender arches, a large front luggage compartment, and distinct headlights and taillights. On the interior, the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4 Cabriolet have the same interior as the rest of the 911 range. However, the 2020 911 interior features newly designed seats and a new Porsche Communication Management system that is controlled on a 10.9-inch touchscreen. The only true difference in styling with the new all-wheel drive model variations are the exhaust tips. The standard 911 Carrera 4 models feature one rectangular, single-tube tailpipe on each side, while the 4S models come with round, twin-tailpipes on each side. Aside from differing exhaust tips, the whole 911 lineup shares the same core exterior and interior designs.
