The newly redesigned 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera T returns the 911 to its pure racing roots in many ways – it’s lighter than ever thanks to lots of carbon fiber, it has an air-cooled flat-six from Porsche’s history books, and it still looks like nothing else on the road today. Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The new 911 Carrera T is made for the driving enthusiast, so let’s get right to the performance. This new 911 Carrera T model will be powered by a turbocharged flat-six engine that’s been upgraded to deliver more horsepower and torque than the previous one. The 3.0-liter turbocharged I-6 engine can produce up to 369 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. The 911 Carrera T comes with a standard 7-speed manual transmission, but a PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission is optional. The 911 Carrera T can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds with the manual transmission and 4.3 seconds with the PDK automatic. Even with this power and speed, the 911 T gets 20/27 mpg city/highway with the manual transmission and 19/26 mpg city/highway with the PDK automatic.

Other performance features include several weight saving features, making the new 911 Carrera T weight come in at just 3,254 lbs., which is 100 lbs. lighter than a standard 911 Carrera (PDK only). Other weight reduction features include the removal of sound deadening materials, no rear seats, thinner glass, a smaller battery, and many carbon fiber elements. The 911 Carrera T comes fitted with a PASM Sport Suspension and Sport Chrono Package as standard, including a 10 mm ride height reduction compared to the standard 911 Carrera. The T variant also features a mechanical limited slip differential and comes with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), features that are standard on the 911 Carrera S and not available for the 911 Carrera.

Exclusive Design and Interior Features

The car’s exterior has been redesigned with new features and a sleeker look. You’ll notice Carrera T badges throughout the interior and exterior. The T model includes Titanium Grey Carrera S wheels that are 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear. You’ll also see special upper and lower mirror covers in Agate grey, and high-glass black tailpipes. For the first time ever, the “Paint to Sample” Porsche program is available for the 911 Carrera T, meaning that there are 110 available colors to choose from.

The interior is fitted with a 10.9-inch touchscreen display, which offers voice control for navigation, phone calls, and audio streaming (via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™). It also has an 8-inch touchscreen display in the center console for climate control, seat heating and cooling functions, and access to other features such as Porsche Connect® apps and services. You’ll see special dark gray accents throughout the interior of the Carrera T, a standard GT Sport steering wheel, and standard 4-way adjustable Sport Seats Plus. There is an optional Carrera T Interior Package for those who want additional customization. This package adds seat belts in Slate Gray or Lizard Green, with matching color accents throughout the interior.

Unmatched Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

The 911 has a wide range of driver-assistance features. These include:

• Front and rear parking sensors
• Lane departure warning
• Forward collision warning
• Blind spot monitoring that can be turned on or off depending on your driving needs
• Adaptive cruise control with stop & go function for highway driving, but not for city streets where you need to slow down in stop-and-go traffic (you’ll have to do that manually)

Other safety features include:

• Lane-keep assist to keep you in your lane
• Driver attention monitor to detect if you are distracted from driving
• Adaptive headlights which can swivel up and down automatically depending on where other cars are around their vehicles!
